Trying new stuff March 3, 2010

I really enjoy trying out new things and seeing what is available on the internet.  I am going to try to take a step out and see what I can find, experiment with, and report back to you on it classroom potential

I tried using jam studio today. To listen check out this link:

Go to http://www.jamstudio.com to make your own song.

This something that you can use to fulfill the music requirements of the curriculum.  What is even better is that much of our music involves the use of computer technology to edit it and put tracks together.  Not every school is able to get instruments for their kids and not every parent is able to afford instruments either outside of the $5 recorder that you might buy.  Its a fun experimental tool.

Jam Studio is simple, yet complex enough to make a decent piece of music.

Check back later to see what other things I have been experimenting with.
